Decapitator's like a quick way to get a big sound IMO. Echoboy's like the Omnisphere of delays to me. unless you're big on phasers and stuff in your music, and crystallizer/phase mistress would be a bigger deal. I'd have to say make Echoboy & Decapitator a priority. I guess if you want me to answer the question. honestly, I don't grab much else in real time.

I don't have Radiator, big boy Primal Tap, or whatever else is nw in v5. I pull this one first instead of the DAW or the plugin's filter itself. But every now and then I do, and when I do. I don't use filters all that much in my music. and then throw a few other effects on to alter your synth instead of using the built-in synth effects and really get cooking w/ creative sounds.ĥ. You can basically add a sine or saw wave. A also put it on a basic synth waveform a lot to make it interesting. I throw it on vocals to make things interesting. Little PrimalTap is such an awesome tool. I use it sparingly for it to not be overkill.Ĥ. It makes me feel like the sound is going back into time. I use it most when I want to make a sound have a reminiscent, reflective feel to it. I probably use it more as an aggressive effect then a delicate compressor. I've thrown it on strings on occasion, turned them low and pressed the Punish button and wow. when this thing works it really REALLY works. The saturation knob in it sounds really good too.Ģ. it does everything, and can do it in a variation of different ways and is stellar w/ every option. Echoboy might be the best delay plugin on the market aside from perhaps Fabfilter Timeless 2.
#Is soundtoys 5 worth it upgrade#
but it's not worth the full price of upgrade for me.ġ.

And thank you for the info, I didn't realize a sale was on.

here's my following thoughts on what I use most. If that answer isn't sufficient (which I realize it's probably not what you want to hear). I'd moreso approach it by saying yourself "What do I need right now?" so I wouldn't approach it in that manner. Every plugin is standout at what it does.
